YEP....I'm a Slacker :)

WOOOOOOOOOW....it's been FOREVER since I've updated this thing! I'm so bad about writing about new events if it's not on Facebook. I know, that's kinda sad, but TRUE!

Well, Kevin and I are MARRIED! August 7th :) It was such a beautiful day and one that I'll always remember (well, at least the parts that weren't such a blur to me!). It's crazy to think that I'll be married to my best friend for all eternity, and I can't wait! Marriage has been a lot of fun so far! We're getting used to each other's weird habits and quirks, and just enjoying the time we have together outside of work! We don't get to spend that much time together since I work during the day and he works swing shift (3p-11:30p) but we enjoy the time while we can. OH!!! I got a job working at a plasma donation center in SLC. It's called CSL Plasma... I really like it so far! The people I work with are really cool and laid back, which is always nice- it definately makes the time go by faster!
Kevin and I moved into our first place together the DAY BEFORE OUR WEDDING....possibly the worst idea we've ever had hahaha! We about lost it after my love seat fell off the trailer TWICE in the middle of I-15! I was in tears, already stressing about the day to come and then that happened! Oh well, it's kinda funny now....KINDA.
Hmmmm.....what else has happened???.....oh, got into a car accident after my first day at work on Aug 23rd. Was driving Mei's Ford Taurus to go meet Kevin at his work for dinner, when I swerved to miss a huge tree laying in the middle of my lane on I-15...not such a great idea. I should have just ran over it, but I didn't. As a result, I spun to the left into on-coming traffic, went head on with one car, slammed the back of the car into the cement guard rail, then got t-boned by a big white truck on the passenger side! Whew...and got away with a sprained ankle and some bruising from the seat belt, and THAT'S IT!! I for sure know I was being watched over! The police officer even said so, and he didn't give me a ticket, which was even better!

I'm sure there's more to update on, but I can't really think what else to write right now, so I'll get back to ya! Hopefully not 3 months later like this time!!! xoxoxo

IT'S A BOY!!!

We found out today that we're going to have a new little brother!!!! So excited for him to get here in December!!

SKUTUMPAH!!

We had a WONDERFUL weekend! We went to Skutumpah lake with my Dad, two little brothers, and my Uncle Clint, Aunt Tangie, and their daughter, Kennady. We had a fun few days fishing and camping and just enjoying the outside :) The fish didn't really want to come out and play, but we got some! And they were delicious too! Here are some pics! Almost There!!

Only 18 days before the wedding! I can't believe how fast the last few months have flown by! I can't even describe how much I love Kevin...and I can't wait to be with him forever!!! We got our engagements done about a month ago. I'll post some up for you all to see!

I can't believe I get to spend eternity with this stud :) Planning has been absolutely hectic, and I never want to look at another invitation again, but it will all be worth it! I just have to remind myself that no matter what happens, I'll still be married to the most amazing man I've ever met, and that's all that matters!

Called To Serve

So, General Conference was this last weekend (Easter!) and during the Sunday afternoon session, I felt like I needed to write down all the goals that I had for me and my family. At the time, I paid no attention to what I was writing down, but later, I noticed that almost everything on that list had to do with service.

My work revolves so much on the needs of other people, and making them feel important and loved. I mainly work with the elderly and middle aged people, and college students on the weekends, but I don't get to work with kids that often. For the last week, the thought of wanting to help kids...even just one, won't leave my head. So, today I got online and looked up "Big Brothers Big Sisters" and sent them an email to see how I could help. Getting the response back from the director was thrilling! Once I finally move out there, I can make a difference, spending quality time with a single child, and help her know that she is loved :) I couldn't be more excited! I obviously don't have kids of my own, but seeing how parents these days just let their kids run wild and not spend time with them kills me. Hopefully I can get Kevin involved too! He's going to be such a great father, and I think he will be such a good influence for a little boy somewhere! Well, just thought I'd write a little something today! 25 days til the big move and 121 days til the wedding! Can't wait!! xoxox
